Design Statement
Storelogix EvoScan radically simpifies the way you use order picking software. Rather than a technical approach, we envisioned a truly user centric approach: Giving all information in an intuitive manner, optimized for a whole-day experience in the warehouse. Unseen motivation elements for a productive work app as well as research-based on-screen ergonomics are combined for joy-of-use in the workplace.
Idea
This work-related warehouse-app plays with known patterns of common fitness apps: rings, rata, achievements. EvoScan motivates the warehouse worker to complete his work by playful and intuitive design – while offering the best usability for a mobile UI used up to 8 hours a day.
Form
Glowing 3D components introduce the revival of skeumorphism in Interface, while remaining focussed in the main information area. It’s main interactive elements are heavily optimized for one-handed, thumb-only operation, to offer the worker to grab and interact at the same time.
Function
EvoScan guides the warehouse worker through all the steps and locations to grab items and fulfill a client’s online order. All relevant information is stacked as layers, which kann be flicked to reveal additional or superordinated information.
Differentiation
As the only fully cloud-based warehouse managements system on the market, EvoScan offers a truly intuitive appoarch on picking goods in the warehouse: No training needed, just grab any smart device, start the app and start being productive in logistics.
Impact
EvoScan finally blurs the line between modern apps on any smartphone and boring, but productive software you literally have to use. Bringing joy-of-use, motivation and extraordinary ergonomics (thumb only input) to the workers might change the way we think logistics.
